PRIVACY POLICY OF MIND VEDA

We, at The Mind Veda, place a high value on your privacy. We are continually putting forth efforts and resources to preserve and secure your privacy. This is our Privacy Policy, which offers information on how we protect your privacy when you use our Services. The terms “TMV”, "we," "our," "us," and "Services" have the same meaning in our Privacy Policy as they have in our Terms and Conditions.

Applicability

This Privacy Policy applies to all the visitors and users of our website and therapist/counsellors who provide Services. Its purpose is to provide you with information about our policies, processes and practices for collecting, using and disclosing any information you provide over our website or during your counseling sessions.

You understand and accept both the Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy when you use our website or avail/provide Services and agree to abide by them. If you do not agree to be bound by the Privacy Policy, you must immediately cease using our website or availing/providing Services.

Personal Information (“PI”) of a person includes any personal information such as physical and mental health, medical history and other private information. Any publicly available information does not come under PI. Our Privacy Policy covers PI shared both online and offline while availing/providing Services.

Cookies

We may use cookies on our website. You may limit or disable cookies on your computer. If you opt to disable cookies, you may experience issues with certain sections of our website that rely on cookies to function properly. We cannot control the use of cookies (or the resulting information) by third parties and use of third-party cookies is not covered by our Privacy Policy.

Storage and Security

We store the PI we gather in our databases in a safe manner and we protect it with industry- standard, commercially reasonable security techniques. However, no security system is impenetrable, no matter how effective encryption technology is. We cannot promise that such information will never be accessed, used, or shared in a way that violates the Privacy Policy. We expressly disclaim any assurance, guarantee or other definitive promise of security in connection with your PI, whether express or implied.

Disclosure

We shall, at all times, maintain confidentiality of the information that is gathered during your assessment and counseling except in the following circumstances:

  1. When the information is ordered to be disclosed by the court of law;
  2. When there is an imminent danger to your health and safety or of any other person or to the society at large;
  3. When, in the opinion of the therapist/counsellor, the nature of information reveals that there is a risk of bodily harm to you or any other person or to the society at large;
  4. When the information is sought by a law enforcement officer or agency; or
  5. When the information is otherwise required by the law to be disclosed.

Only PI that you voluntarily give for publishing to our website or social media accounts will become publicly visible.

We also have employees responsible for day-to-day administration who may get limited access to your PI for the purposes of scheduling appointments, billing clients and general quality assurance. However, such employees are also bound by the same rules of confidentiality and they undertake to maintain privacy.

If the client is below eighteen years of age or the legal age as per the law applicable to you (“Minor”) and you are accessing our website or availing our Services in the capacity of a parent or legal guardian, we may allow limited access to the Minor’s PI to you, which, in our opinion, is in the best interest of the Minor. However, before disclosing any such information to you, in order to build and maintain trust and to ensure the safety of the Minor, we may discuss such information with the Minor and shall have due regard to the objections that the Minor may have to such disclosure.

This website has been developed by Multigraphics Group and we may hire third-party firms and individuals to help us with our website such as for audit, legal, operational or other services. We will only give them the information they need to complete their role for us and only after we have signed appropriate confidentiality agreements.

Modifications

We reserve the right to change our Privacy Policy at any time. This policy's most recent revision date is listed at the bottom of this page. We advise you to revisit this page from time to time for the most up-to-date information on our Privacy Policy and procedures. We will never use the information you provide under our existing privacy notice in any way without first informing you and offering you the option to cease using our website or availing our Services, regardless of changes to our Privacy Policy.
